I had to climb a few meters to take this picture and at times the rock was wet with water and a bit slippery. Dragging the shutter for some time, I set-up slightly west ad down from the falls. Under partly cloudy skies it was not the best weather for photography but the interplay as a result of the steep canyon provided additional contrasts adding to the charter of the images. The wind was really whistling. We wondered what would cause a tree to bend as it did here. The curve of the tree, I thought laid up quite well in the image, as I adjusted my vantage point, to take advantage of the similar angled ridge. I was not sure what to think of the tree. Just off the highway, west of Banff. Gated entry too. If you were up to it, another 2 kilometres would have pegged us at Harvey Pass. We turned back at Bourgeau Lake with the snow starting to fall, the wind kicking up and the temperature dropping.
